If I Had a Rich Man, the new show from Candy Gigi, is, in a word, abysmal. The set up is that she’s looking for a Jewish man to appease her mother – played by Gigi by means of an afro wig, a smear of lipstick and a pair of saggy tits. The audience are roped in to play suitors or mime to songs from Fiddler on the Roof – that is, when they’re not having vegetables spat at them. This is sub-Bo’ Selecta! crudity with a lot of cheap foreskin jokes thrown in. It’s not offensive, it’s just awful – and profoundly unfunny.
