Twenty-five years ago this year, spiked was born.

We were a pioneer of online British political journalism and now we’re bigger than ever before – reaching people around the world with our irreverent, incisive polemics and our principled message of freedom, democracy and progress.

This would never have happened without the hard work of the many incredible people who have worked at and with spiked over the years. But it also would never have been possible without you, our readers and supporters. Your donations fund our work, and your enthusiasm spreads the word about it.

So, as we mark spiked’s birthday, we want to say a heartfelt thank you. And we’re asking those who can afford it to donate to our anniversary appeal – to keep spiked going and growing into the future.
